Chapter 01
Title transfer for a mobile home takes one of two forms
A mobile home title transfers the same way a vehicle title does, just with its own paperwork. Bring the current title, signed and notarised, or the Electronic Title Transfer document if that's what you have. Either one starts the transfer at the counter.
Mobile home work isn't something every third-party provider in Tucson takes on. It's paperwork most offices don't see often enough to handle without a callback, and it's one of the things we do regularly.

Single-wide, one title. Double-wide, two.
A single-wide mobile home has one title, the same as a car. A double-wide has two, one for each section, because Arizona titles each half of the home separately even though it's sold and lived in as one unit.
If you're transferring a double-wide, bring both titles. Missing one is the fastest way to turn a mobile home transfer into a second trip.
Chapter 03
What an un-affixture actually is
A mobile home can be affixed to the land it sits on, which means it's treated like part of the property, folded into the land title rather than titled on its own. An un-affixture is the paperwork that undoes that. It converts the home back into personal property with its own separate title, the way a car or an RV is titled, apart from the land underneath it.
It's not a word most people arrive already knowing, and it usually doesn't come up until you're selling, moving, or refinancing a home that's currently affixed. We handle the paperwork at the counter the same as any other mobile home title.
Inspections, bonded and duplicate titles, and permits, all at one counter
Mobile homes also go through inspection, and we issue bonded titles and duplicate titles for mobile homes the same way we do for vehicles. A mobile home permit is available too, alongside the standard vehicle permits.
