Most of the wasted trips to an MVD counter happen because one document is missing or a signature was never notarised. Tell us what you are transferring or renewing and we will read you the exact list for your situation, whether that is a signed Arizona title, an out-of-state title, a lien release, or a birth certificate for a first Arizona licence.

A member of staff reads the documents through with you and confirms they will clear before the file is opened. That is where an Arizona Registration Only gets identified instead of a rejected transfer, where a Title Only is separated from a full transfer, and where a double-wide mobile home is caught as two titles rather than one.

We are an authorised third party for the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department, so the transaction is processed at our counter rather than sent somewhere and queued. The state fee and our convenience fee are both posted on the wall, so the total is known before we start rather than after.

Counter work is finished on the spot in most cases. Customers describe being in and out in about ten minutes, and one wrote that transferring the title on a used RV took ten minutes out the door. Dealer title transfers are usually turned around inside 24 to 48 hours.

The fees are on the wall before you ask

Every licence, ID, permit, road test and reinstatement fee is printed on a board in the office, split into what the state charges and what we charge. It is on this site for the same reason it is on the wall: nobody should find out the total at the end.

The questions we answer at the counter every day

Not for counter work. Titles, registration renewals, permits, plates and notary work are walk-in at all four Tucson offices. Road tests are the one exception and are booked in advance, at Prince Rd or Irvington Rd only.

The signed title, and notarisation if the document calls for it. Arizona requires a vehicle to be transferred together with its registration unless the vehicle cannot be driven, in which case a Title Only needs either a Level 1 Title Only inspection or a failed emissions test. Call the office with the vehicle in front of you and we will confirm the list before you drive over.

Bring the out-of-state title signed, and notarised if that state requires it. Vehicles five years old and over need proof of emissions. If a finance company still holds the title, Arizona issues a Registration Only instead, which registers the car here while the title stays with the lienholder.

At Prince Rd and Irvington Rd. Those two offices handle first-time Arizona licences and IDs, Travel ID upgrades, duplicates, address and name changes, and road tests. Title, registration, permit, inspection and notary work runs at all four.
